Manchester United ‘to explore’ £50m Ugarte swap for Noah Sadiki

Manchester United are being linked with Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki , with GiveMeSport reporting the club could pursue a swap-style move involving Manuel Ugarte .

Ugarte joined from Paris Saint-Germain last summer for more than £50m. He had been expected to feature prominently under head coach Ruben Amorim, having previously worked with him at Sporting CP.

He is now understood to have fallen down the pecking order, and United are weighing up midfield changes. The report indicates he could depart on loan or permanently, and be used in any approach for Sadiki.

Sadiki, 21, only arrived on Wearside last summer in a deal worth around £15m, yet his performances have drawn interest. His intensity and tactical awareness have stood out, and the DR Congo international is viewed as fitting the profile prioritised by INEOS, with energy, mobility and physical presence.

He is also being considered as a more attainable option than Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, who is valued at about £100m. Any move would hinge on Sunderland’s stance, and the club are under no pressure to sell so soon after his arrival. There has been no formal approach, with the situation described as one to monitor rather than an advanced negotiation.
