What transfer deals Tottenham could do before January window closes

Spurs set to be active in market before February 2 deadline

Tottenham need new signings in the final days of the January window as injury continue to ravage their squad.

Spurs continue to be linked with potential targets and there could also be outgoings.

Here, Standard Sport assesses what deals could be done before the deadline on February 2.

Injuries have forced Tottenham ’s hand, and the club have moved quickly to bring in Conor Gallagher for £34million to replace Rodrigo Bentancur after he underwent hamstring surgery.

Brazilian teenager Souza is close to completing a £13m move from Santos as Spurs look for cover at left-back.

Brennan Johnson has left for Crystal Palace after struggling for minutes this season.

Spurs’ priority heading into the window was always to bring in another winger.

The fact they have now sold last season’s top goalscorer, Johnson, to Palace, while also losing Mohammed Kudus until April with a quad injury, means that need has now turned into a necessity.

Spurs have struggled offensively and with injuries piling up in attack, they need reinforcements before the window shuts.

With an extensive injury list, Spurs need to make more additions before the end of the month.

This is a squad in need of solutions but while there is uncertainty in the dugout, it will be difficult to convince players to join the club mid-season.

Spurs have been linked with moves for Manchester City duo Omar Marmoush and Savinho.

Mathys Tel, replaced by Dominic Solanke in Spurs’ Champions League squad on Monday, could leave the club on loan.

Ligue 1 side Paris FC have reported interested in the 20-year-old, who had just started to find favour under Frank.

Radu Dragusin could leave before the end of the window, with the centre-back linked with a return to Italy.

Spurs are not willing to send the former Genoa and Juventus defender on loan, but would be open to a permanent sale.
