With the January transfer window ready to swing open next month, it could be a good time to take a look at some of the summer's best-performing signings. Around £3billion was spent collectively by Premier League clubs with hopes of bolstering ahead of 2025/26, but some stars have fared far better than others.

For example, Florian Wirtz set a new transfer record when he signed for Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for £116m, but has failed to live up to his price tag just yet. Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze set Arsenal back around £67.5m when he made the move to the Emirates Stadium from Crystal Palace , and has outperformed Liverpool's German playmaker considerably.
