Chelsea and Brentford are set to face off in a west London derby this weekend. It will mark Liam Rosenior’s first league game in charge of the Blues after succeeding Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.

While he has had to wait for a Premier League game, it has been a busy week for the new Chelsea boss. Rosenior took his place in the dugout for the first time as the club defeated Charlton Athletic to advance in the FA Cup last weekend, followed by a 3-2 home loss to Arsenal in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night.

Brentford will hope to capitalise on their opponent's more hectic schedule. Keith Andrews’ side climbed up to fifth in the league, above Chelsea in eighth, after their convincing 3-0 win over Sunderland earlier this month and also progressed to the FA Cup fourth round with a victory over Sheffield Wednesday last time out.

The match poses another tough test for Rosenior at the start of his Chelsea tenure, having been tasked with getting the team back to winning ways . Here, Mirror Football provides details on how fans can follow the action.

Chelsea host Brentford at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, January 17. The game is scheduled to kick off at 3pm GMT.

Chelsea’s clash with Brentford will not be broadcast on TV or via live stream in the UK. This is due to the TV rule that prevents Saturday 3pm games from being broadcast, implemented to protect attendance figures.

Highlights of the action will be made available shortly after the final whistle on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel. A recap of the game will be shown on Saturday night’s Match of the Day, which will begin on BBC One at 10.30pm.

Unlike in the UK, international fans will have the option to watch the game live. In the USA, the match will be live-streamed on Peacock.

Stan Sport will be streaming the action in Australia . Across South America, ESPN will be airing the game. BeIN Sport will be covering the match throughout the Middle East, while SuperSport holds the match rights in Africa.

Chelsea forwards Liam Delap and Jamie Gittens were also absent due to illness and it remains to be seen if the pair will be involved at the weekend. Both Romeo Lavia and Levi Colwill are long-term absentees.

Brentford midfielder Jordan Henderson picked up an injury during the team’s FA Cup win last weekend. Josh Dasilva remains sidelined with a knee issue, while Fabio Carvalho and Antoni Milambo are out for the season with ACL injuries.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
