Marc Guehi will undergo a medical with Manchester City on Sunday as he finalises a transfer to the former Premier League champions.

News broke on Friday that City had struck a deal with Crystal Palace for their influential captain, who would have been available on a free transfer at the end of the season with his contract expiring. City's early move was designed to fend off rival interest from clubs such as Arsenal and Liverpool , both of whom were poised to make a play for Guehi in the summer.

And with a deal now close to being done, Sky Sports have revealed that Guehi will complete his medical on Sunday with the possibility that a formal announcement could follow before the end of the weekend.

Guehi came close to joining Liverpool in a £35million deal back in the summer, only for Crystal Palace to pull the plug on the deal at the 11th hour of deadline day.

But Oliver Glasner , just minutes before confirming he will quit Palace at the end of the season, confirmed Guehi was Manchester City-bound in his press conference on Friday.

The Austrian said: "My latest understanding is that the deal with Marc is in the final stages... I cannot confirm the club, because it's still not done, but in the final stages, and the result is that Marc doesn't play tomorrow for us."

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £336 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
