Arsenal have confirmed Ethan Nwaneri will spend the rest of the season on loan at Marseille .
Nwaneri, 18, broke into the Gunners’ first-team fold last term, but has found minutes restricted this season.
Standard Sport understands that the Ligue 1 side are paying a loan fee, which will reduce depending on the number of games the England youth international plays.
There is no buy option in the deal.
The move to France comes after the north Londoners had initially insisted that their young star would not be allowed to leave on loan, but a U-turn was made earlier this week after an agreement was struck with Marseille .
The Ligue 1 outfit are managed by Roberto de Zerbi, who is thought to have played an instrumental part in persuading the Gunners to temporarily part with their prospect until the current campaign’s conclusion.
Nwaneri played 37 times across all competitions last term, but has managed just 12 this, with most of those coming as a substitute.
