Cristiano Ronaldo beats Juventus in court again

Cristiano Ronaldo still has reason to celebrate, this time in the economic sphere. The Portuguese has won his lawsuit with Juventus and will not have to repay the 9.7 million euros that the Italian club paid him during the Covid period.

In addition, the Bianconeri will have to pay 80,000 euros in costs of the appeal. It should be remembered that Juventus wanted the annulment of that payment that the player had not collected in the salary maneuver during the pandemic . The amounts were frozen due to an agreement between the club and the squad because of the critical situation that the team and the world in general was experiencing.

Cristiano then signed for Manchester United and did not receive the salary he had agreed to receive once the pandemic was over. The club did not pay him and the player filed an appeal requesting almost double the amount. Four months ago, the judges ruled in his favor and Juve had to pay him the figure of around ten million euros.

The club challenged the decision by requesting the same amount from a labor court in Turin , but again the court ruled in favor of the Portuguese. The player will not have to repay this amount and it remains to be seen whether the Italian club will appeal again.
