Leeds United reflect on missed chance as concentration questioned after Manchester United draw

Leeds United remain without an Elland Road win over Manchester United since 2002, and there was a clear sense of a missed chance after Sunday’s 1-1 draw.

"I think we are not so satisfied with this draw today. I think we wanted to win. We conceded really quickly after the goal. Yeah, at the end, 1-1. We will take it and go forward." He told LUTV.

They had 48 hours less rest than the visitors after Thursday’s 0-0 at Liverpool, and injuries and suspensions limited Daniel Farke’s options. Joe Rodon was injured, Ethan Ampadu suspended.

Leeds went ahead but conceded an equaliser soon after, with Farke unhappy that goalkeeper Lucas Perri came off his line for the goal. Several Leeds players sank to their haunches at full-time.

"I think not our best game or performance, and again we take another point which is very important. We were so close to get the three points today. I think the question is more that we just need to take one game at a time. This league is tough, we know that, and we need to stay focused and composed every time."

Some who featured in both matches this week will not start against Newcastle United.
