Amad Diallo fired profligate Ivory Coast to an opening victory over Mozambique at the Africa Cup of Nations .
The Manchester United winger marked his full debut at a major tournament with his third senior international goal, slotting home early in the second half in what proved to be the decisive moment in Wednesday’s entertaining Group F opener at a rainy Stade de Marrakesh.
Ivory Coast dominated the match and created numerous other strong chances to make an early statement of intent, but were let down by poor finishing throughout.
