Ben White looks to be side-lined for at least a month after picking up a hamstring injury against Wolves at the weekend.
The 28-year-old underwent a scan on Sunday, as Mikel Arteta was told that he will miss the right-back for around four or five weeks as a result of the issue. It comes as the current Arsenal squad is already looking thin at the back in particular, given injuries sustained by a number of starting players.
Cristhian Mosquera is set to be out of action until potentially mid-January after landing awkwardly during the Gunners' clash with Brentford earlier this month, spotted wearing a protective boot at the Emirates on Saturday evening.
Meanwhile, Gabriel is also expected to be side-lined until late December with a muscular injury of his own.
Elsewhere, William Saliba returned to the fold at the weekend having missed a number of games through an ankle knock.
It's not just injuries to his defence that Arteta has had to navigate as of late, however.
Kai Havertz has missed the majority of the season through a knee injury and is not expected to return until later this month, while teenage sensation Max Dowman recently sustained an ankle ligament injury .

Riccardo Calafiori also missed the game with Wolves as a result of picking up five yellow cards across Arsenal's opening 15 outings.
It comes as White had started each of Arsenal's last three Premier League matches before he was replaced by Myles Lewis-Skelly on Saturday after half an hour, in a game filled to the brim with drama.
Arsenal took the lead against the struggling Midlands outfit 70 minutes into the fray, when Sam Johnstone put the ball into the back of his own net.
While Tolu Arokodare levelled matters 90 minutes in, fate had other plans than seeing a rock-bottom Wolves taking a point from the current Premier League leaders.
That's because late into stoppage time, Yerson Mosquera also scored an own-goal, which allowed the Gunners to take all three points at the Emirates Stadium. At the time of writing, Arsenal currently sit just two points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
However, with a cagey clash against Everton at Hill-Dickinson Stadium slated for Saturday, December 20, Arteta will have work to do to rejig his squad once more given his current injury list.
