Arsenal will wear a unique version of their away kit on Saturday afternoon when they face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League , according to football.london . The Gunners are set to clash with Sean Dyche's squad at the City Ground (5.30pm), aiming to edge closer to becoming champions of England.

Depending on Manchester City's performance against Manchester United earlier in the day, the north Londoners could extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points. Mikel Arteta's team enters the match fresh from a 3-2 victory over Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final.

Goals from Ben White , Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi have put Arsenal in a strong position to reach the final of the domestic competition. Their focus now shifts to the Premier League and their title race.

However, fans may notice Arsenal donning a different version of their away kit when they face Forest. The Gunners will wear their blue away kit tomorrow, as expected, but with grey socks as requested by the Premier League.

The home side will be in their usual red strip. It's understood that the request was made to prevent issues for viewers with colour blindness.

It's not yet clear what colour shorts Arteta's players will wear, although there is a previous example of what we can expect. Earlier in the season, Arsenal sported grey shorts and socks with their blue away kit in a match against Athletic Bilbao.

This change was necessitated by UEFA rules regarding kit clashes. In the previous season, the Gunners donned alternative shorts for their Champions League face-off against PSV Eindhoven.

Just last weekend, they wore white socks with their home strip for their FA Cup triumph over Portsmouth, as the Championship team wore their red home socks. Ahead of the upcoming match, Arteta spoke about the challenge Forest will pose this weekend, despite their standing in the Premier League table. "A top coach, really good at what he does," he commented.

"You can see straight away in the team, the way they play, the results that they got against some of the big teams as well, how difficult they are constantly making you so experienced in the league. So a very tough match."
