Arsenal are reportedly willing to listen to offers for three players in Mikel Arteta ’s squad during the January transfer window.

The Gunners backed Arteta with a productive and impressive transfer window, spending more than £250m on eight new signings.

Viktor Gyokeres , Martin Zubimendi , Eberechi Eze , Noni Madueke , Cristhian Mosquera , Christian Norgaard, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Piero Hincapie all arrived at the Emirates Stadium.

Many of the Gunners’ summer recruits have hit the ground running, with Arteta’s side unbeaten in their last 14 games in all competitions and four points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

But the north London side have also had to deal with their fair share of injuries, with Noni Madueke, Kai Havertz, Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Martinelli and Martin Odegaard currently facing spells on the treatment table.

Despite those setbacks, Arsenal’s summer business has left their squad better equipped to handle an injury crisis than in seasons gone by.

And as such, the Gunners don’t appear to be proactively looking to bring in any new faces when the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

However, that is not to say that there won’t be movement in the January window, with the Daily Mail reporting that Arsenal would consider cashing in on three squad players should suitable offers arrive.

The aforementioned Martinelli attracted interest from Saudi Arabia over the summer and has had a quiet start to the season, with injuries and the form of Leandro Trossard impinging on his minutes.

Martinelli’s contract expires at the end of the next season, and the club are said to be happy to entertain the 24-year-old’s exit should a big bid from a Saudi Pro League side arrive in January.

Ben White has similarly struggled for game time this season, with the form of Jurrien Timber meaning the Englishman has started just one league game so far this campaign.

And while the Englishman is a versatile part of Arteta’s defensive unit, the Mail’s report adds that Arsenal would be ‘open to offers’ for the 28-year-old.

Gabriel Jesus could soon be back in Arsenal’s matchday squad after making his long-awaited return to first-team training following a lengthy knee injury.

@metrosportuk More trophies = more success? 🤔 Since Mikel Arteta took over at Arsenal, they’ve only won one major trophy. In that time, Manchester United have won two, but who has been more successful? Many argue the Red Devils because they have more trophies, but others suggest the Gunners because of their form over the past few years. #arsenal #manchesterunited #premierleague #trophies #mikelarteta ♬ Black Lambo (Instrumental) – The808Wizrd

The Brazilian will look to provide competition to Gyokeres and Havertz at the top of the pitch, but Arsenal are also reportedly happy to move Jesus on should a bid come in for him in January.

Elsewhere, Arsenal are also said to be keen to offer new deals to three key players to ensure their long-term futures at the club.

Speaking on his YouTube channel , transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said: ‘For Arsenal, contracts are very, very important. We saw that because they extended the contract of William Saliba. They did a very good job with Myles Lewis-Skelly and with Ethan Nwaneri. So Arsenal are always on point when it’s about new contracts and I wanted to mention three more.

‘For Bukayo Saka, Arsenal are making very good progress. There is a negotiation ongoing, but the exchange is quite positive between Arsenal and Saka’s camp over a new contract. Saka wants to stay. Arsenal obviously want Saka to stay. So the conversation is very good at this stage between Saka and Arsenal.

‘Jurrien Timber: conversations underway between the Dutch defender and Arsenal over a new contract. So also in this case, talks are ongoing. Arteta is a big fan of the player. Timber is helping in several positions.

‘Arsenal believe that his potential is still huge. He is already doing fantastic, but he can do even better in the future. And so Arsenal want to give him a new deal as soon as possible, and the conversation is well underway with Saka and with Timber.

‘After all of this, not today or tomorrow as it’s going to take time, but in Arsenal’s plans there is also the idea to offer a new contract to Declan Rice. Arsenal also want to discuss with Rice and offer him a new deal.’
