The Blues had two goals disallowed before Jules Koundé scored an own goal in an action-packed opening 45 minutes.

Barcelona's chances of staging a comeback in the second period were then dealt a huge blow just before the half time whistle went.

Ronald Araújo, who was booked on the 32nd minute, received a second yellow card just 12 minutes later for a rash tackle on Marc Cucurella .
