The 25-year-old has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer after spending the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Strasbourg. Serbian international Petrovic joined the Blues from Major League Soccer side New England Revolution in August 2023. However, Fabrizio Romano claims that Bournemouth have submitted an opening offer to Chelsea to sign the s*t-stopper this summer. The Cherries are in the market for a goalkeeper after the loan spell of last season's first-c*ice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga came to an end last month. Earlier this month, Petrovic was heavily linked with a move to Premier League newcomers Sunderland. However, Romanco claims that talks with the Black Cats over a deal weren't at a final stage. Last month, Petrivc was left out of the Club World Cup finals in the United States as speculation surrounding his future continued. Meanwhile, in June, Chelsea explored a deal to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, but the Blues pulled out of a deal to sign the Frenchman after Milan demanded a fee of £25m. The 30-year-old, w* signed for Milan from Lille in 2021, has less than a year remaining on his current deal at the San Siro. Earlier this month, the Blues sold Kepa to London rivals Arsenal, leaving them with Robert Sannchez , Filip Jorgensen, Mike Penders and Petrovic on the books at Stamford Bridge.
