Three of the last five Premier League meetings between Brighton and Brentford have ended in draws, including this fixture last season. Both teams have scored in three of those five encounters, which suggests that another score draw could be on the cards this Saturday.
Brighton remain unbeaten at home this season, with all four of their defeats in league and cup coming away from the Amex. The Seagulls have dropped points in two of their five home league matches, both times drawing with London opposition—Fulham and Tottenham. Both sides have scored in four of Brighton’s last six Premier League games, and the hosts have only failed to find the net twice in their 11 league fixtures so far.
Brighton’s 2025-26 campaign has been somewhat inconsistent, with four wins, four draws, and three defeats from 11 matches, but their form has improved recently—they’ve lost just once in their last seven league outings (W3 D3). After conceding in 20 of their previous 21 league games, the Seagulls have now kept consecutive clean sheets, beating Leeds United 3-0 at home before holding Crystal Palace to a goalless draw at Selhurst Park before the international break.
This weekend marks head coach Fabian Hurzeler’s 50th Premier League game in charge of Brighton (W20 D17 L12), and at just 32 years and 269 days old, he will become the youngest manager to reach that milestone, breaking Chris Coleman’s record from 2004.
Currently 11th in the table and only three points off the top four, Brighton will be pleased to return to the Amex, where they are unbeaten in their last nine league matches (W5 D4). Since the start of last season, only Arsenal, Aston Villa, and Liverpool have suffered fewer home league defeats than Brighton’s three.
After winning their first two Premier League clashes with Brentford in 2021-22, Brighton have managed just one win in the subsequent six meetings (D3 L2), with two of the last three ending 0-0.
Brentford, meanwhile, have only one away win in the league this season, though both teams have scored in three of their five away games. The Bees have found the net in four of their last five matches in all competitions and have earned draws on two of their last three visits to the Amex.
Despite predictions of a tough season following significant summer changes, Brentford are 12th in the table with five wins, one draw, and five losses from 11 matches—mirroring their start to last season under Thomas Frank. New head coach Keith Andrews struggled initially, winning just one of his first seven league games, but the Bees have now won three of their last four, scoring at least twice in each of those victories. Most recently, they came from behind to defeat Newcastle 3-1, with Igor Thiago netting twice to bring his tally to eight Premier League goals—second only to Erling Haaland this season.
Brentford have been strong at home, boasting the joint-second best home record in the league (W4 D1 L1), but their away form has been poor, losing four of five on the road—more than they lost in their final 14 away games last season.
The Bees head to the Amex aiming to avoid back-to-back away league defeats without scoring for the first time since April 2023, and to end a four-game winless run away to Brighton (D2 L2). Their last victory at the Amex was a 2-0 win in the Championship back in September 2016.
