Arsenal are closing in on a new four-and-a-half year deal for Bukayo Saka , which will tie down the England winger until 2030 following months of talks.

The Gunners had always been confident of retaining their homegrown talent, who will become a top earner at the Emirates , as Mirror Football reported back in September. Arsenal have enjoyed a steady rise under Mikel Arteta with Saka crucial to their success and the club will need to keep thriving.

The length of the deal, which RMC Sport claim will run until 2030, means that in a little over a two years Arsenal and Saka will once again be sat down discussing their next move. Clubs often begin contract talks around those times because once a player enters the final 12 months of their deal, more options emerge.

Saka has never expressed any desire to leave at Emirates, but that is owed largely to the club's continued improvement and ability to challenge for major honours. The England star has been involved in numerous title races and played in a Champions League semi-final for the first time last term.

It's understood that Arsenal would like the new deal to be signed off before the end of the year as they look to put the issue to bed and keep hold of a player they have had at the club since the at the age of seven.

Progress in talks with Saka follows the recent news that William Saliba had committed himself to the club for the long-term. The centre-half penned a deal in the region of £250,000-a-week amid interest from Real Madrid - and since that was settled they've ramped up their efforts to iron out Saka's contract.

Despite only being 24, Saka is closing in on 300 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 76 goals in that time. He's twice been named Arsenal's Player of the Year and has also been named England's Player of the Year on two occasions. In 2023 he was the PFA Young Player of the Year.

Saka spoke about earlier this year about his ambitions and made it clear he wants to win silverware his with boyhood club. He said: “I want to win and I want to win wearing this badge. It is pretty clear, the fans know how much I love them. You saw when I came on on Tuesday, they love me back.

"So it is a good relationship. I am really happy to be hear and I am focused on winning. I don’t think anyone is really in a rush. I have got two years left on my contract so it’s pretty relaxed. Everyone knows my thoughts and I’ve let you guys know as well, so I don’t think there is much else really.”
