Casemiro: 'I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life'
Casemiro is set to leave Manchester United after four seasons the club has confirmed
The Brazilian was signed by Erik ten Hag in the summer of 2022 and has played 146 games since arriving at Old Trafford, scoring 21 goals and making 12 assists.
The 33-year-old's time at United has been up and down with the player suffering a spell of bad form during his second season. However, after forcing his way into Ruben Amorim 's side he has been a near ever-present figure.
But recent good performances are not enough for United to try and keep hold of the midfielder, who is one of the club's best paid players, with the club now confirming his departure.
"I will carry Manchester United with me throughout my entire life," Casemiro said on the announcement of his exit from the club.
“From the first day that I walked out at this beautiful stadium, I felt the passion of Old Trafford and the love that I now share with our supporters for this special club.
“It is not time to say goodbye; there are many more memories to create during the next four months.
“We still have a lot to fight for together; my complete focus will, as always, remain on giving my everything to help our club to succeed.”
Casemiro isn't the only experienced key player who could leave United on a free this summer with Harry Maguire 's future also uncertain.
