Cristiano Ronaldo 'sinks' David Beckham's self-esteem: "He's handsome but I'm not normal, I'm perfect"

Cristiano Ronaldo has once again made headlines off the pitch after making a statement that has gone around the world: he claimed to be "better looking than David Beckham " and said he has "the whole package".

During a conversation on the programme Piers Morgan Uncensored , the Portuguese star spoke about his image, his global fame and his constant comparison with the English legend, with whom he shares a similar path in his career: both were stars at Manchester United and Real Madrid , as well as establishing themselves as international icons of fashion and style.

The exchange began when Morgan praised Beckham, but noted that as a footballer he was "not in the same league" as Ronaldo. He then asked if he also considered himself superior in terms of physical attractiveness. "Do you think you're better looking than David Beckham?" , the presenter asked. "It depends," Ronaldo replied initially, before developing his argument with humour and confidence.

Ronaldo defends his appeal with humor and confidence

The 40-year-old Al Nassr striker explained that for him "being handsome is not just the face, but the whole package". He then quipped: "Imagine Cristiano and a normal guy in red speedos in Copacabana... you think I'm not going to have a chance with anyone".

Piers Morgan insisted on the comparison, and Ronaldo did not hesitate to respond with a laugh: "You walk down Copacabana for ten minutes. Who gets more attention?" . His answer was straightforward: "Me, 100 per cent".

Beckham is normal, I'm perfect

The comment prompted laughter from the presenter, who admitted that he was only trying to "elicit" that statement.

Ronaldo also explained why he considers his appeal to be superior to Beckham's: "He knows it. His face is beautiful, yes, a beautiful face... but the rest is normal. I'm not normal. I'm perfect," he said with a laugh, once again showing his characteristic sense of humor and confidence.

CR7 is considered one of the most recognized on the planet

Beyond the relaxed tone of the interview, Ronaldo also spoke about his global impact, claiming that his fame transcends borders : "Let's have a debate for the world, who is more famous? Me or Donald Trump? I think worldwide, even in small islands, they know me more than him," he said with a smile.

Despite the obvious media rivalry between the two former Real Madrid players, Ronaldo closed with words of respect for Beckham: "He looks good. I like him, he's a guy who speaks well, I like him".

Once again, the Portuguese combined self-confidence, humour and charisma , reminding us why he remains one of the most influential figures - both inside and outside of football - worldwide.
