EPL star who ‘completely exposed’ Liverpool reveals his ‘dream’ to sign for Man Utd

Crystal Palace wing-back Daniel Munoz names Manchester United amongst the clubs he dreams of joining at some point in his career.

The 29-year-old joined the Eagles in January 2024, sealing a transfer from Genk worth £7 million. Since then, he has established himself as a stalwart at Sellhurst Park.

The Colombian is currently considered one of the finest right-backs on the English shores. He has thus far made 64 appearances in the Premier League , contributing with five goals and 12 assists. He also played an instrumental role in Palace’s back-to-back FA Cup and Community Shield triumphs earlier this year.

While he’s tied to Oliver Glasner’s side until June 2028 (with an option for another year), Munoz has admitted he’d like to play his football at one of the European elite.

Interestingly, the Amalfi native named Man Utd as one of the clubs he aspires to join.

“First of all, I think there’s a lot of talk about one club or another. If you ask me, it would be a dream to play for one of these clubs, whether it’s Barcelona, PSG, Real Madrid, or Manchester United ,” said Munoz in his interview with AS Colombia .

“I think I’m working towards that; I strive every day to one day attract the attention of one of these clubs, because it’s a dream for me to get there. However, I don’t have any concrete information that any of these clubs is interested in me.

“My focus is on Crystal Palace. We’ll see when the winter transfer window gets closer.”

At this stage, no reliable source has reported a Man United attempt to sign Munoz. Nevertheless, the Colombia international represents an interesting profile.

Following Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo’s smooth settlement at Carrington , the Red Devils could be further encouraged to go after other Premier League-proven players.

The Palace star has already showcased his credentials at the big occasions. He was also hailed for his role in the last-gasp winner against Liverpool in September, when he ‘completely exposed’ Arne Slot’s side.

Munoz would also add depth and quality to the Man Utd squad, especially with Ruben Amorim looking unconvinced by some of his current wing-back options.

Despite being a natural winger, Amad Diallo has been occupying the right wing-back role since the start of the season. As for the left flank, Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot have been vying for the starting role. The latter had the upper hand in recent months, but he was dropped following a stinker in Nottingham .
