Former England star 'earning £500k not to play for Wrexham for rest of the year'
FORMER Premier League star Jay Rodriguez will reportedly earn around £500,000 at Wrexham before he next kicks a ball.
The newly-promoted Welsh side named their 24-man Championship squad earlier this month.

However, Rodriguez was among several names absent from the list.
Andy Cannon, Ollie Rathbone, and Danny Ward also missed out.
Those players are now unable to feature in the Championship until 2026, with the registered list set until January.
And despite not playing, Rodriguez will rake in a hefty sum of money.
The 36-year-old allegedly earns £25,000-a-week at Wrexham , meaning he will make roughly £500,000 in total before he is eligible to play.
Wrexham can still add one more player to their Championship squad, although manager Phil Parkinson is expected to give that opportunity to Rathbone.
He said: "We need Ollie back, he’s a key player for us. He was instrumental for us last year.
"He’s a player who has played in the Championship; first year did well, second one was a difficult one at Rotherham because they had a very weak squad.
"But he’s played at this level, and when he signed for us, he was determined to get back into the Championship…
"His energy and his quality, I can’t wait to get Ollie back out with us."
Rodriguez, who has one England cap to his name, joined Wrexham from Burnley in January and signed an 18-month contract.
The striker has struggled to impress since completing the move, scoring just two goals in 18 appearances.
Wrexham currently sit 15th in the Championship table with seven points from six games.
