Fulham vs Sunderland Premier League prediction, odds and betting offer

Fulham approach Saturday’s meeting with Sunderland having lost five of their last seven matches in all competitions. Defensive frailties have been a concern, with the Cottagers conceding at least two goals in four of their last six Premier League games, though they have only failed to score in two of those outings.
Their recent 3-0 home win over bottom-placed Wolves ended a four-game losing streak in the league, but Fulham couldn’t build on that momentum, falling 2-0 away to Everton before the international break. The Cottagers are one of only four Premier League sides yet to record an away victory this season, with their defeat at Everton marking their fifth loss on the road and sixth overall, leaving them 15th in the table—just a point clear of the relegation zone.
Despite speculation about Marco Silva’s future amid Fulham’s poor run, the club is reportedly eager to open talks with the Portuguese manager—currently the third-longest serving boss in the Premier League—about a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of the season.
Fulham will be glad to return to Craven Cottage, where they have earned 91% of their Premier League points this season (10 out of 11)—the highest home ratio in the division. They are unbeaten in their last 10 top-flight matches against newly-promoted teams (W5 D5), winning the last three.
However, Fulham have lost their last two Premier League home games against Sunderland, and Saturday’s fixture marks the first top-flight meeting between the sides since the Black Cats’ 4-1 win in January 2014. In their last seven encounters in league and cup, Sunderland hold a slight edge with three wins to Fulham’s two, and both teams have scored in five of those matches. The Black Cats have also won three of their last five visits to Craven Cottage, with both teams scoring in each of those victories.
Sunderland have lost just two of their 11 Premier League matches this season and arrive at Craven Cottage unbeaten in their last four. Both teams have found the net in each of Sunderland’s last three games, and the visitors have scored at least twice in three of their previous four league fixtures.
With 19 points from 11 matches (W5 D4 L2), Sunderland are enjoying their best start to a top-flight campaign since 1999-00 (23 points), and it’s also the best tally by a newly-promoted side since Hull City’s 20 points in 2008-09. The Black Cats extended their unbeaten run before the international break thanks to a dramatic 94th-minute equalizer from summer signing Brian Brobbey, who scored his first goal for the club in a 2-2 home draw with Arsenal.
Only Brighton (76%) have scored a higher proportion of their Premier League goals in the second half this season than Sunderland (71%—10 of 14), while Fulham have conceded 69% of their goals after half time (11 of 16)—the third-highest in the league.
Sunderland’s impressive form sees them sitting fourth in the Premier League table at the end of November, and a win on Saturday would move them level on points with second-placed Manchester City ahead of City’s clash with Newcastle later in the day. After defeating Chelsea 2-1 in October, Sunderland are now aiming for consecutive Premier League away wins in London within the same season for the first time since March 2001. They will also look to avoid back-to-back defeats against Fulham for the first time since a run of three between 2002 and 2006, following their 2-1 loss to the Cottagers in the Championship in April 2018.
