Gabriele Biancheri open to January loan exit

As things stand, Manchester United are joint second for goals scored in the Premier League this season, with 30, tied with table-toppers Arsenal.

But that was not the case in the previous campaign, with Rasmus Hojlund enduring a nightmare up top. With goals at a premium, Ruben Amorim had to look to the academy for a solution.

He picked then-17-year-old Chido Obi to lead the line at times. The young Dane performed admirably but could not find the back of the net.

The head coach had also called up another academy hotshot Gabriele Biancheri to first team training but the young Welshman did not make the matchday squad.

And currently, the Portuguese tactician does not seem to rate the club’s academy as highly, with no debuts handed out thus far.

Which explains why plenty of starlets are eager to leave on loan to earn senior experience, and Gabriele Biancheri is no different.

There is plenty of interest in the 19-year-old’s services, but as revealed by Centredevils , the Wales U21 international seems eager to return home.

United had signed the forward from Cardiff City, and the youngster and his agent had visited the League One club to speak to the manager regarding his chances should he agree to move back to the Cardiff City Stadium.

“CentreDevils understands that Cardiff City are pushing for a loan move for 19-year-old Manchester United attacker Gabriele Biancheri .

“We can reveal that Biancheri, alongside his agent, visited the Cardiff City training ground in recent weeks and has even met with the manager.

“His family also lives in Cardiff, which is a huge positive too, and he is open for a loan move to get first-team minutes.

“There are also other clubs in the race, but as it stands, the League One club are leading the race.”

This season, playing exclusively for the U21s, the centre-forward has managed five goals and three assists from nine starts across all competitions.

It is clear he could do with senior minutes to aid his development and help him realise his dream of breaking into the United first team in the future.
