Glasner says he needs more players to improve his squad
Oliver Glasner believes he needs more players to improve his squad after Crystal Palace drew with KuPS at Selhurst Park.
Palace qualified for the next round of the UEFA Conference League after their 2-2 draw with the Finnish side.
Despite being through to the next round, the Austrian believes that his side can improve with new signings.
“I don’t want to talk about it because if everyone knows it gets more expensive, everything is on track,” he said to TNT Sports.
“The club are working hard to get these deals done, we trust them, it’s to support the team, we have stayed in four competitions, I think we need one or two players.”
With Palace facing Leeds on Saturday, Glasner made 11 changes to the starting 11 that faced Manchester City last weekend.
He explained how this could give away their starting 11 to their opposition: “We rested a few players tonight because we knew we will need them for a game in a few days,” he said.
“Leeds now know our starting XI because none of the players who started today will play on Saturday, it will be a competitive game, we’ll show a big fight and hopefully come back with three points.
“I am very pleased with the youngsters, we lost a little bit of structure for 10 mins and you get three finishes at the end and score four goals.
“We wanted to win and go straight into the last round of 16. I know this can happen, we accept it but again, especially with the young players we can see what they need, all four under-21 players got cramp tonight.”
