Manchester City put in a dominant display on December 14, comfortably defeating Crystal Palace 3–0 to continue their strong Premier League campaign. Erling Haaland led the charge with two goals, while Phil Foden also found the back of the net to complete the scoring.

Beyond the result itself, the match marked a significant personal milestone for City manager Pep Guardiola. The Spanish tactician became the quickest coach in Premier League history to register 150 victories in matches where his side scored three or more goals, reaching the landmark after just 358 games.

In achieving this feat, Guardiola moved ahead of two managerial icons. Arsène Wenger needed 524 matches with Arsenal to reach the same total, while Sir Alex Ferguson achieved it in 522 games during his time at Manchester United.
