Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim will have some thinking to do for this Monday’s showdown with Bournemouth . Not only were the Red Devils contending with a series of injury issues, the club also had to bid farewell to a number of key players.

Summer signing Bryan Mbeumo is set to link up with his Cameroon teammates ahead of the start of the African Cup of Nations . The same could also be said of defender Noussair Mazraoui, who has been called into the Moroccan squad for the tournament.

The final call-up was Amad, who has been included in the Ivory Coast squad for AFCON. As it stands, Amorim is unsure over whether any of the trio can play but their exits give him some selection headaches for the clash with Bournemouth.

So, who could the Portuguese coach call into the squad in their places? Mirror Football takes a look:

Starting in goal, the choice is obvious for Amorim, with summer signing Senne Lammens having now firmly locked down the number one shirt at Old Trafford. The defence in front of him could look slightly different, however.

Both Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire missed training before the game as they contend with issues, while Mazraoui is potentially not available. That could see Luke Shaw retain his place, while Lisandro Martinez could be a potential option as he steps up his return.

Ayden Heaven has been taken off against both West Ham and Wolves recently so Amorim might be tempted to restore Leny Yoro to the starting XI.

Moving into midfield, Amorim has a slightly easier decision to make. Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are currently in excellent form so should stay in the side allowing for any other issues.

With Amad potentially out, it sees the Red Devils’ wing-back options limited. Patrick Dorgu is the obvious option to go on the left, which might see Diogo Dalot switched over to the right.

Mason Mount appears to have finally found top form at Old Trafford so it would be misguided from Amorim to take him out of the side. When it comes to his attacking colleagues, the United boss is almost starved for options.

With Mbeumo and Amad both possible unavailable, Matheus Cunha should be alongside Mount, with Joshua Zirkzee leading the line in the continued absence of Benjamin Sesko.

Man Utd predicted XI vs Bournemouth: Lammens; Yoro, Martinez, Shaw; Dorgu, Dalot, Fernandes, Casemiro, Mount, Cunha, Zirkzee.
