Igor Thiago remains an injury doubt for Brentford’s Premier League game against Wolves on Saturday.
The striker, who has scored 11 goals in the Premier League this season, missed Brentford ’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.
Keith Andrews was also without Jordan Henderson, who scored in the 1-1 draw with Leeds United last Sunday.
Speaking after the loss to City at the Etihad Stadium, Andrews revealed that Thiago and Henderson were both missing due to ‘knocks’, but indicated the duo had a chance of returning for the match against Wolves at Molineux this weekend.
‘They didn’t quite make this one but not not far off, so we’ll just see how they are tomorrow and then we’ll dust ourselves down and see how everyone else is, obviously after a tough 90 minutes plus,’ Andrews said.
‘We’ll focus on Wolves once we debrief this in the morning.’

When asked about Thiago and Henderson in his press conference on Thursday afternoon, Andrews added: ‘Jordan and Thiago both picked up little knocks against Leeds.’
‘I don’t know yet, is the honest answer, on exactly how they are. They’ve been with medics today and we’ll see how they are going into the game on Saturday.’
Brentford will also be without Frank Onyeka and Dango Ouattara for their trip to Wolves this weekend as they have both joined up with the Nigeria and Burkina Faso squads respectively for the Africa Cup of Nations .
