Mohamed Salah once again took the headlines following Liverpool ’s 2-0 win over Brighton on Saturday. Following a week of intense speculation surrounding his future, the Egyptian came off the bench in the first half to provide an assist for Hugo Ekitike’s second goal against the Seagulls.
Salah last week caused a frenzy at Elland Road by telling reporters he was "thrown under the bus" by the club and no longer had a relationship with manager Arne Slot after an unprecedented run of games out of the starting line-up.
The 33-year-old, who only signed a new two-year deal with the Reds in April, was then left out of the midweek squad to face Inter Milan, before being reinstated this weekend after talks with Slot.
He had admitted the game against Brighton could be his farewell as he now joins up with Egypt for a month at the Africa Cup of Nations, after which his career trajectory remains unclear .
Talks between both parties are expected to continue while Salah is away, though his lap of honour at Anfield post-victory left his future open to interpretation as he applauded the supporters who serenaded their ‘Egyptian King’ with his familiar song.
Should that prove to be his final act in front of the Kop, Salah will leave the city he has called home for the past eight-and-a-half years with his wife Magi and their two young daughters.
That would also mean leaving behind his stunning mansion, located in the affluent ‘golden triangle’ area of Cheshire. Salah admitted after signing his contract earlier this year that a big factor leading to his decision was his family feeling content with their home life in Liverpool .

He said: “They feel at home. They were very happy, Magi and the kids, they were very happy that we’re staying another two years. It feels like home so everyone was happy.
“I think Makka [his daughter] was the happiest one in the family, she wanted us to stay. Of course we all wanted to stay, but Makka because her friends are here and the school.

"It was a very good vibe after the moment that I signed. I'm enjoying my life here. I'm enjoying my football. My family also feels at home. We enjoy every moment in the city and every moment in the club.”
Salah’s house, reportedly located near Manchester City star Erling Haaland ’s residence, is geared towards keeping himself in the best shape possible. His luxury pad is kitted out with two gym rooms and also has cryotherapy facilities and a hyperbaric chamber.

“I am constantly looking to improve my physical condition,” he once told France Football . “It's true that I like to say that my house looks like a hospital, [but] my wife doesn't like that! [She] says that I spend more time with my machines than with her!”
He gave fans a glimpse into his home in a 2020 advert with Vodafone, where he played in his spacious back garden with first daughter Makka. Salah was seen chasing her around the garden before catching her and lifting her into the air.

Another scene showed the Egypt star lounging in a luxurious living room with a sleek, modern style and a large cat statue in front of the fireplace. A portrait of Makka in her school uniform was also seen on a table.
Salah and his family also take to social media each year to post a photo of them around their Christmas tree in matching pyjamas. But this year, his focus over the festive season will be on finally winning the Africa Cup of Nations with his country.
