Inter Miami CF inaugurated a renovated sensory room for students with disabilities at a school in Miami

I n the big Inter Miami FC 'Familia', no one is left out. On International Day of Persons with Disabilities , the club, together with Major League Soccer (MLS) and the organization KultureCity , inaugurated a completely renovated sensory room at the Frances S. Tucker K-8 Center school in Miami.

This new space was created as part of the community program accompanying the MLS final, the ' 2025 MLS Cup Legacy Project ', and seeks to further consolidate and strengthen the commitment to inclusion.

A legacy that will grow beyond the event

The event was attended by representatives from the three organizations involved, as well as Inter Miami first-team players Ian Fray, Yannick Bright, and Noah Allen , along with members of the Inter Miami CF Special Olympics Unified Team . During the activity, students were able to tour the room and explore the tools that will be available to them.

In the district, one in four students has a disability (more than 80,000). For this reason, these types of resources represent key support for teachers and families and provide tools that validate each person's emotions and feelings.

The room is designed to provide students with sensory needs a safe and calm environment that allows them to regulate their emotions, regain their composure, and return to the classroom ready to learn.

As mentioned above, this project is part of the community legacy that accompanies the MLS final, which will be played this Saturday, December 6 , in Miami, where Lionel Messi and company will face the Vancouver Whitecaps .

As part of the extended commitment, Inter Miami, MLS, and KultureCity will also provide 100 sensory bags for the future Miami Freedom Park stadium and train staff to assist people with sensory sensitivity during games.

This is the first of three sensory facilities to open between 2025 and 2026 in Miami-Dade schools.
