The Blues unveiled their latest group of first-year scholars on Friday, with Isago Silva one of 16 young players announced before the new campaign.

Silva’s son first joined Chelsea at U13 level, following his dad’s move to the west London club from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian teenager has already played for Chelsea U18s, making his debut at that level in a 3-1 win over Leicester City U18s in February.

Chelsea’s new scholarship class also includes 16-year-old wonderkid Reggie Walsh.

The teen is the only player in the 2025-26 intake to have appeared for the first team, having featured in the Conference League last season .

Walsh was singled out for praise by Chelsea captain Reece James after playing in Chelsea’s 1-0 win over Djurgården in last term’s semi-finals.

Speaking after the match, James told TNT Sports: ‘I’ve seen him in training but training and games is different but this is the first time I have seen him play. I didn’t realise how good he actually was.’

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca added: ‘How good is he? You can see that he is a good player.
