Jamie Carragher's declaration that only Arsenal can cost themselves the Premier League is not far from reality. Opta's supercomputer has the Gunners down as overwhelming favourites to win their first title in more than two decades.
Mikel Arteta's side extended their lead at the top of the table to six points after thumping Tottenham in the North London Derby. Eberechi Eze's hat-trick and Leandro Trossard's goal ensured Richarlison's impressive strike counted for nought .
While taking the bragging rights against their local rivals, Arsenal firmly established their title credentials. Manchester City and current champions Liverpool both lost against Newcastle and Nottingham Forest respectively.
That convinced Carragher that it could be Arsenal's year. Speaking on Sky Sports , he said: “The only team that can stop Arsenal winning the league is Arsenal; they are the best team. They are the best squad.
“The only thing that can stop them is their own heads, their own mentality. Maybe this crowd getting nervous in March and April, if the league is still up for grabs by then.
"This would be the one. If they didn't win it, I think we'd all point the finger at them and say, 'You threw this away’. I don't think that's ever been the case before.
"I always think the case has been that there has been a team slightly better than them in the Premier League, but that is definitely not the case this season."
Per Opta, Arsenal have a 74.56 per cent of securing the title. The next most likely sides are Manchester City (14.3 per cent), Chelsea (3.88 per cent) and Liverpool (2.13 per cent).

Arteta is not getting ahead of himself despite his side's advantage and the Spaniard does not yet think his team's lead is a substantial one.
"In this league, not much," he said. "We are doing really well, we've been really consistent, and that's it.
"I mean, when you look at the results, whether they win or lose, the difference in the scoreline and actually what happens in games is really small. We know that.
"We need players back immediately today. We've got Noni back on the pitch, which is great, but we're still missing a lot, a lot of important players, and we're going to need all of them."
