Jeremy Doku is not involved in Manchester City ’s visit to Crystal Palace on Sunday, missing the game through injury.
The 23-year-old has been a regular in Pep Guardiola ’s side this campaign, making 15 Premier League appearances and 22 in all competitions, scoring three goals.
The Belgian started away at Real Madrid in the Champions League on Wednesday night, playing 87 minutes in the 2-1 win.
However, he was a surprise omission from the Manchester City squad on Sunday, with Guardiola revealing he has picked up an injury.
The Spaniard did not go into any great detail, telling Sky Sports when asked why Doku is absent: ‘Injured.’
Pushed on the nature of the injury, Guardiola said: ‘Leg.’
He added: ‘We will miss his quality but we have another – other players play with their own quality.’

There was little more information from the Manchester City website, which read: ‘From the side that began last Wednesday’s memorable 2-1 UEFA Champions League victory away to Real Madrid, Tijjani Reijnders comes into the starting line-up in place of Jeremy Doku.
‘The Belgian misses out this afternoon with an injured leg.’
Guardiola is not short of options in attack, with Phil Foden and Rayan Cherki starting behind Erling Haaland.
