Bayern Munich face FC Koln in their next Bundesliga match on Wednesday night. Bayern are yet to lose a single match in the league, with Vincent Kompany aiming to extend their unbeaten streak.

Lukas Kwasniok’s side finds itself in a precarious position, having failed to register a victory in its last seven league outings, despite picking up three draws during that run. The Cologne outfit will be further depleted by injury and suspension concerns ahead of Wednesday’s challenge.

Koln’s campaign has deteriorated significantly since their impressive 4-1 victory over Hamburger SV on November 2. Since that triumph, the newly-promoted side has recorded three draws and four defeats across seven fixtures, a troubling sequence that has seen them accumulate only three points. Their most recent outing saw them register a respectable 2-2 draw away at Heidenheim, where they mounted a commendable second-half comeback to equalise twice after falling two goals behind.

Vincent Kompany’s remarkable side has extended their unbeaten run to 25 Bundesliga fixtures, with 21 victories and just four draws in that sequence dating back to March 2025.

The German record champions concluded 2025 with a dominant 4-0 away victory over Heidenheim before returning after the winter break to demolish Wolfsburg 8-1. Michael Olise scored twice in that commanding performance, whilst Harry Kane , Leon Goretzka, Luis Diaz and Raphael Guerreiro also found the net.
