Everton manager David Moyes has revealed that Jack Grealish is fit to take on Arsenal , though Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will miss out. Both attackers picked up issues during last weekend's clash with Chelsea , but only Grealish has managed to shake off his problem.

Speaking at his Friday press conference ahead of Arsenal's trip to Goodison Park, Moyes delivered the positive update on Grealish: "Jack is okay. Jack will be fit and available to play, yes."

The England winger, who is spending the campaign on loan at the Toffees from Manchester City , was hauled off in the dying moments of their loss to Chelsea.

Moyes had revealed after that match that a potential injury concern was behind the substitution, explaining: "Jack felt his hamstring so we just need to be careful with these boys."

A similar problem in the same muscle saw Dewsbury-Hall forced off after merely 16 minutes at Stamford Bridge. While initial worries about a serious injury have eased over the past week, Moyes confirmed the midfielder won't feature against the Gunners.

The Everton head coach said: "Kiernan is doing well but not available for the game. He'll be a big miss for us but that's what happens at this time of the years – liable to lose players, every club has got injuries and suspensions, so we're no different to anybody else."

When pressed about Dewsbury-Hall's recovery timeline, Moyes cheekily responded: "We have, but I'm not telling you!"

Everton are amongst the Premier League clubs being struck hard by AFCON with Iliman Ndiaye and Idrissa Gueye unavailable to take on Arsenal as they are set to represent Senegal.

At Arsenal, it remains injury woes that trouble Mikel Arteta with Ben White the latest player to suffer a problem. He was withdrawn early against Wolves last Saturday with the Arsenal manager providing an update on Friday.

Arteta said: "Yeah, he's out, he's evolving well, it's not a major injury, but it will keep him out for a few games, I think."

The Arsenal boss was able to confirm some encouraging news after concerns were raised by Martin Zubimendi's training absence with it revealed that he was not present for the opening section of their session due to load management.

Updates on Gabriel Magalhaes and Kai Havertz were also delivered by the Spaniard as both push to feature before the end of 2025.

On the latter, he said: "He's progressing really well and quite fast in the last few weeks. We are really positive that if everything continues like that in the next training sessions, he's going to be with us.

When asked about Gabriel returning to face Aston Villa on Tuesday, December 30, Arteta admitted: "He's pushing hard as he always does every time he's out and he's evolving really well, he's doing pitch sessions so he's not too far, we have to see in the last stages of that rehab how he progresses but we are quite positive about him."

Both players are set to sit out this weekend's match against Everton, with Jarrad Branthwaite and Seamus Coleman also expected to be sidelined due to muscle injuries.
