SAVE!
Declan Rice’s free-kick delivery is nodded goalwards by Martin Zubimendi, forcing a fine save from Senne Lammens at close range. The Belgian is just about able to tip Zubimendi’s effort over the bar, forcing a corner which comes to nothing.

Carrick: Arsenal are “a whole new challenge” for United
Reflecting on last weekend’s derby win, Michael Carrick told Sky Sports: “It’s never the same again. I’ve said it to you in the week, I think every game is different, even from one half to the next half is different – you might go well in the first half, but to say ‘same again’ in the second half, it’s never the case. You’ve got a whole new challenge to overcome.
“We understand it’s been a tough place to come for many teams and they’re a good team. We’ve got a good challenge ahead but we’re looking forward to it.”

Arteta: “We will adapt”
Speaking to Sky Sports, Mikel Arteta spoke about his learnings from Manchester United’s derby win against Manchester City last weekend.
“They have really good organisation and great players, and when it comes to big games, there are certain basics in the game that you have to do really well if you want to be dominant. We need to establish that and then there will be another element, the game will shift as well and change in relation to what they do as well. We will adapt.”

Let’s take a look at today’s scores elsewhere in the Premier League .
Nottingham Forest distanced themselves from the relegation zone with a 0-2 win on the road at Brentford.
A late goal from Chris Richards couldn’t salvage a result for Crystal Palace, who fell to a 1-3 loss at home against Chelsea after Adam Wharton saw red in the 72nd minute.
On Tyneside, Newcastle United suffered a 0-2 loss to an impressive Aston Villa side. Unai Emery’s men remain well and truly in the title fight, sitting level on points with Manchester City (and just four behind Arsenal , although that could yet change).

For Manchester United , this is as good a time as any to face the league leaders.
Arsenal could move seven points clear of Manchester City with a win in North London this afternoon – but as Mikel Arteta admitted in his pre-match press conference, the Gunners “don’t know” what to expect from the visitors.
Michael Carrick took charge of his first match as interim boss last weekend, delivering a stunning derby win against Manchester City thanks to goals from Bryan Mbuemo and Patrick Dorgu. With that momentum behind them, another impressive performance in N5 could see the Red Devils leapfrog Liverpool to enter the top four.
