Liverpool and Manchester City are set to face off for the signing of Antoine Semenyo , with both sides keeping an eye on the Bournemouth star ahead of the January transfer window .
Semenyo, 25, has been one of the top-flight’s standout players over the past couple of seasons. And that form has seen a number of sides linked with his services, although the Ghana international committed his future to Bournemouth earlier this year by signing a new contract with the Cherries.
However, Semenyo's new five-year contract has not dampened interest in talented attacker's services, with Sky Sports reporting that Liverpool , Manchester City and Tottenham are all monitoring him ahead of the New Year .
It is suggested that clubs remain impressed by his performances this season and bids in the winter window cannot be ruled out. Semenyo, though, has NOT requested to leave the Vitality Stadium and has been left annoyed by recent claims to the contrary.
Speaking about speculation surrounding his future Semenyo said: "I don't think about it too much. I try to stay present as much as I can. You see the news all the time, I see it as well, I'm not oblivious, but I try to keep focused.
"I'm enjoying my football here. If I'm not scoring goals, all of that goes away. I try to stay present, do the best I can for the team, score goals and whatever happens in the future happens.
"When they [his former team-mates] all left [in the summer], there was a lot of interest and back and forth with the club.
"But I knew in my head that the manager's got something up his sleeve this year. How we finished off the season last year was so good and we could continue, especially with the players we've bought in as well.

"I wasn't too sure at the start but we've kicked on like a house on fire. I'm glad I committed to staying here because I'm enjoying every moment."
Semenyo has scored six goals for Bournemouth this season in just nine Premier League appearances. His new contract is set to run until 2030.
Fresh talk over his future comes amid a claim from general manager Tim Bezbatchenk that the club would not stand in any player’s way should a big offer come in for them. He said: “When a club like Real Madrid , Liverpool, PSG come in and they're competing for Champions League positions, who are we to say, 'No, you can't go, you can't fulfil your dream'.
"No it wouldn't be like that for all clubs because not everyone is Real Madrid. But there is an opportunity and everybody wins right? I think that's what we're trying to find, this commonality where everybody can win."
