Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai claims his side’s dressing room discussions ‘are not for the public’ amid their ongoing crisis. The Reds have endured a woeful second season under Arne Slot .

After cruising to the title last term, Liverpool sit eighth in the table after Saturday’s dramatic draw with Leeds United . Slot’s side were two goals to the good after a brace from Hugo Ekitike , only to see the Yorkshire side level matters.

Midfielder Szoboszlai thought he had secured victory late on but Leeds equalised once again in stoppage time through Ao Tanaka. Following the result, Mohamed Salah threw his future with the club into fresh doubt with some explosive comments, particularly about Arne Slot.

Szoboszlai spoke out after the game and suggested that any crossed words in the dressing room should remain there. He said: "What is in the dressing room stays in the dressing room, it is not for the public. We have to manage it, we have to find solutions.

“I can always come up with the opportunity on Tuesday or on the weekend again but there are also time where you have to look at yourself. You have to go home and think if you did everything what was possible and if the answer is yes then we just keep going and the momentum will come."

Asked what has gone wrong for Liverpool this term, the Hungarian midfielder claimed he was struggling to put his finger on the Reds’ issues. But he has demanded his teammates find a solution - and soon.

Szoboszlai added: "It's a good question. It's hard to speak about it. Last year we became champions, now I don't even know what position we are. Every team is doing well.

“Every team wants to win against the champions and we knew that before the season as well. We have to find solutions, we have to show reactions and everybody has to take responsibility.
