Luis Enrique bemoans PSG’s ‘worst match of the season’ in Monaco defeat

Luis Enrique was left frustrated as Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to AS Monaco on Saturday evening, subsequently ceding top spot in Ligue 1 .
Takumi Minamino’s goal proved the difference between the two sides, as Monaco put an end to a run of four games without a win in all competitions. In a press conference attended by Get French Football News, Luis Enrique reacted to the defeat.
“Neither team played at a high level, even if they were better than us. It was a difficult start to the match; it is difficult to have continuity when you make so many individual errors. I think it was our worst match of the season,” began the PSG manager.
He continued, “It wasn’t easy for Monaco , but they deserved it more than us, even if we have the same xG. For us, it was a very bad evening.” PSG will look to bounce back next week against Stade Rennais.
