Luis Enrique's PSG the big favourite to dominate Globe Soccer Awards

I f in the last edition it was Real Madrid who swept the board by taking six of the main awards (best club, player, coach, striker, midfielder and youngster, with a double for Vinicius), this year it looks like Luis Enrique's PSG will be crowned at the Beyond Developments Globe Soccer Awards ceremony, which will celebrate its 16th edition on Sunday, December 28 at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. But it will be the fans who will decide, as until next Thursday, November 27, the global public voting period is open at voteglobesoccer.com to choose the finalists in nine of the 15 categories. Subsequently, from December 3 to 11, there will be a second round where fans will vote for the winners, and the final winners will be a combination of the fan winners and those selected by the Globe Soccer Awards jury, which includes figures such as Casillas, Figo, Capello, Totti and Lippi.

Eight nominees from the French champions

After completing their most successful season by finally adding the coveted Champions League and UEFA Super Cup to their usual French league and cup titles, PSG have no fewer than eight nominees among the 25 finalists in the Best Player category: Ousmane Dembele, Desire Doue, Achraf Hakimi, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes, Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha and Gianluigi Donnarumma. It will be difficult for one of them not to win the award for best player, just as it will be difficult for Luis Enrique not to win the award for best coach or PSG for best club. Luis Campos is also competing in the category of best sporting director. Doue, Joao Neves, Ruiz and Vitinha are nominated for best midfielder; Dembele and Kvaratskhelia for best striker; and Doue, Neves and Warren Zaire-Emery for breakthrough player.
