Manchester United have finally broken their three-match winless streak with a triumphant victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday. The Reds' season has been a rollercoaster ride, with a few standout performances sprinkled among a series of less-than-stellar displays.

Ruben Amorim's squad has had its moments of glory this season, including an impressive away win against Liverpool . However, Monday night's match against a ten-man Everton side ended in a bitter defeat at Old Trafford.

In the clash with Palace, United found themselves on the back foot just before half-time due to a careless penalty conceded by Leny Yoro.

The defender clumsily fouled striker Jean-Philippe Mateta in the penalty area and despite having to retake the penalty due to a double kick , the forward made no mistake the second time around. It was Joshua Zirkzee who turned out to be United's saviour just before the hour mark.

A well-placed free-kick found the Dutchman in the box and he managed to equalise with a stunning strike from the tightest of angles. Mason Mount then stepped up to put United in the lead for the first time in the game, scoring just under ten minutes later

A cleverly worked free-kick routine saw Bruno Fernandes set up Mount, who fired a low shot past the keeper. This victory propels United to sixth place in the Premier League table, just a point shy of the top four.
