Manchester United 0-1 Everton: Player Ratings
Manchester United suffered a chastening 1-0 loss at the hands of 10-man Everton. Here are our player ratings from the game.
(A score of 6 is around average)
Senne Lammens 5 – Didn’t cover himself in glory for the goal. Should have got a strong hand to it.
Leny Yoro 3 – Another who should have done better for the goal. Just didn’t commit to the challenge on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. An unusually poor performance from the young Frenchman.
Matthijs de Ligt 5 – Caught out on a few occasions.
Luke Shaw 6 – An OK performance.
Noussair Mazraoui 5 – Didn’t offer nearly enough in terms of attacking play in the right-wing-back position. United missed the dynamism that Amad usually brings in this role.
Patrick Dorgu 3 – Poor. Missed a good chance to draw United level. Missed passes and loose touches that saw United lose momentum. Just doesn’t seem to grasp what’s needed of him as a wing-back.
Casemiro 5 – Didn’t command the midfield to the extent he usually does. His level dropped after a promising run of superb form.
Bruno Fernandes 6 – Tried to make things happen for United, stringing passes together and bombing forward to get involved but a lot of it didn’t come off.
Bryan Mbeumo 6 – Mostly the same as Fernandes. Fired a number of shots at Jordan Pickford but was left frustrated. A tough day in the office.
Amad 6 – Made a good run in one instance and created a very good chance. One of the few who looked like they could make something happen.
Joshua Zirkzee 4 – Evident that he hasn’t played much this season. Didn’t offer much except his single effort that drew Pickford into a big save.
Mason Mount 5 – Little impact off the bench, considering the number of minutes he was afforded.
Diogo Dalot 4 – Waste of a substitute in all honesty. Didn’t change anything.
Kobbie Mainoo 5 – Kept the ball moving as United pushed for a goal but also made no difference in terms of actually threatening the visitors.
