Matheus Cunha tells Ruben Amorim his best position and sums up Man Utd boss in two words

Matheus Cunha has hailed Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim as ‘a winner’ and admitted he sees his best role as a 'false nine'. The Brazilian forward was tempted to move to Old Trafford by Amorim this summer after the Red Devils activated the £62.5m release clause in his Wolves contract.
So far, Cunha has had a slow start to life at Old Trafford, having scored just once in his opening 11 appearances for the club. That form has coincided with a rollercoaster start to the season for United.
The club endured a woeful first few months of the season, which saw the pressure crank up on Amorim. That has alleviated over recent weeks and Cunha has now made his feelings very clear on the Portuguese coach and teammate Bryan Mbeumo .
Speaking to Hayters while on international duty with Brazil, he said: “Amazing. What a player [Mbeumo]. You asked me some questions to think about United, right now my mind is in Brazil.
“But it’s amazing to be there and it’s amazing to play with big players like Bryan. And to be coached by a winner is always something I feel privileged about."
Cunha has played a number of roles throughout his career, both with his former clubs and current employers. Asked what his favourite position was, the 26-year-old claimed he was just happy to play, albeit preferred to take to the pitch as more of a withdrawn forward.
He added: “My favourite position is to be on the pitch and help my team of course. Right now in Brazil, I have a different job to come a little bit and help the team in the build-up and attack as a striker.

“I feel fine playing as a false nine, exactly, this kind of participation in the build-up and get on the ball more.”
Cunha played just over an hour for Brazil earlier this week as they took on Senegal at the Emirates Stadium and he could be back in action on Tuesday evening against Tunisia. He will then turn his attention back to United.
Amorim’s side welcome Everton and former boss David Moyes to Old Trafford on Monday evening. United head into the game off the back of a five-game unbeaten run, having secured a late 2-2 draw against Tottenham before the international break. The Red Devils currently sit seventh in the Premier League table.
