MEN: Man United could still allow 48-app first-teamer to leave before deadline after attracting European interest
Tyrell Malacia could still leave Manchester United before the February 2 deadline, according to Manchester Evening News .
Since returning from his 18-month injury layoff last season, the full-back has never been able to reclaim a prominent role in the United setup.

By the time he was deemed match fit in November 2024, the manager who signed Malacia, Erik ten Hag, had been relieved of his duties and succeeded by Ruben Amorim.
Amorim proceeded to utilise the defender eight times in all competitions before he was shipped out on loan to PSV Eindhoven for the second half of 2024/2025. Malacia claimed an Eredivisie winners’ medal during his stint, but the club opted against making his transfer permanent at the end of the term.
Throughout the summer window, the Dutch international formed one fifth of Amorim’s ‘bomb squad’ at Carrington. However, by September, he was the only member to have failed to secure a transfer elsewhere , despite holding late talks with Elche CF and Eyupspor.

Now, after making only one two-minute appearance in the first half of 2025/2026, Malacia is assessing his options once again.
MEN reports that the 26-year-old has suitors in Italy, Spain and Turkey, though nothing is thought to be ‘imminent’.
Malacia is also now in the final five months of his Red Devils contract , so he is free to start negotiating a pre-contract with foreign clubs this month.
United have already decided that he will be released come June – along with Casemiro – unless a deal is agreed for him to leave beforehand.
