Next Leeds Manager Odds: Marco Rose tipped as bookies favourite to replace Daniel Farke

Marco Rose, the former RB Leipzig manager, has emerged as the clear favorite to become the next Leeds United boss. Pressure is mounting on current manager Daniel Farke after Leeds suffered a 3-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Sunday, leaving them 16th in the Premier League table. The Whites have managed just one win in their last five matches, with only bottom-placed Wolves collecting fewer points—three—over that span.
Leeds now face a daunting run of fixtures against Aston Villa, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester City in their next four games. Rose was initially a 16/1 outsider when the betting market opened last week, but his odds shortened to 6/1 on Sunday before dropping further to 11/8 by Monday morning.
Leeds' start to the season has been mediocre at best with the newly-promoted side flirting above the relegation zone. Farke has only managed to pick up three league wins from a possible 11 matches - losing in six of those matches including to fellow promoted side Burnley - in the Premier League.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach head coach has not got the best record in the Premier League and his future at Elland Road was in doubt at the end of last season before the board came out in full support of him .
Rose has been out of management since leaving Leipzig in March 2025, with the club sitting sixth in the Bundesliga after a Champions League campaign that saw just one win in eight games. However, he led Leipzig to DFB-Pokal (German Cup) glory in 2023 and followed that up with a Super Cup victory over Bayern Munich.
Rose boasts an impressive managerial record, winning 56.3% of his 128 games at Leipzig and 65.5% of his 55 matches in charge of Borussia Dortmund. However, Rose has often been criticised for deploying poor defensive tactics resulting in his dismissals at both Bundesliga clubs.
As for Farke, he added a third Sky Bet Championship title to his résumé when Leeds lifted the trophy last season. However, the team has struggled since returning to the Premier League, winning only three of their opening 11 matches and conceding eight goals in their last three away games at Forest, Brighton, and Burnley.
