T he United States national team seems to have found its way under Mauricio Pochettino , a coach who received a lot of criticism from American stars for losing the Gold Cup final against the Mexican national team . However, the Argentine has responded immediately in his preparation for the 2026 World Cup , where they will be co-hosts with Mexico and Canada.
The USMNT is now unbeaten in five matches, but tonight it gave a categorical demonstration to an 'old sea dog' on the bench like Marcelo Bielsa by thrashing Uruguay 5-1, which although it had important absentees such as Federico Valverde and Darwin Nunez , qualified for the 2026 World Cup by finishing fourth with 28 points.
