Report – The six Real Madrid players unhappy with Xabi Alonso and five who are happy

The 2-2 draw against Elche on Sunday night has sent Real Madrid into a full-blown crisis mode, considering that they have now gone three games without a victory in all competitions.

Reports of unrest within the dressing room have started doing the rounds , with several members of the squad understood to be unhappy with manager Xabi Alonso and his methods.

So much so that the Spanish tactician’s future at the Santiago Bernabeu is already being called into question.

Providing a broader picture of the situation, journalist Arancha Rodriguez of COPE has claimed that there are six players in the Real Madrid squad who are very unhappy with Alonso and his ways.

The six stars in question are Vinicius Jr. , Federico Valverde , Rodrygo Goes , Brahim Diaz , Endrick , and Ferland Mendy .

Things have not been well between Vinicius and Alonso for quite some time now and the tension seemed to have boiled over during the Clasico last month when the Brazilian lashed out at the manager for his substitution.

Vinicius deliberately left Alonso’s name out of his public apology statement and reportedly does not wish to commit to a renewal with the former midfielder still at the club.

As for Valverde, the Uruguayan international has not yet found his footing in Alonso’s system and has even been forced to play at right-back, something that he has been reluctant to do, due to injuries.

Rodrygo, meanwhile, has struggled for minutes, even though Alonso has tried to use him in his preferred position on the left wing. On the other hand, Brahim has not found enough minutes despite making a good impression whenever given a chance.

Endrick and Mendy, meanwhile, are the two outfield players with the least amount of minutes played this season.

At the same time, the report highlights five players who are happy with things under Alonso and are sticking by him.

These happen to be new signings Dean Huijsen and Alvaro Carreras , both of whom have become key players for Real Madrid since joining.

Arda Guler , who has grown in stature with Alonso at helm, is also happy with the manager, as are superstars Thibaut Courtois and Kylian Mbappe .

It remains to be seen how things evolve in the coming weeks and whether Alonso is able to turn things around or ends up getting axed.
