Ruben Amorim issues worrying injury update on Matthijs de Ligt after Manchester United beat Wolves 4-1
Ruben Amorim has provided an update on Matthijs de Ligt after the defender missed Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers .
The 26-year-old was ruled out of the West Ham United clash due to a minor injury, but he was expected to return to the team for Monday’s game against Wolves.
However, De Ligt was nowhere to be seen, and manager Ruben Amorim admitted he has no idea when the player will be back.
He said: “I don’t know, sometimes you have an idea then you have to see day by day. I’m not going to say when he is coming back.”

Ayden Heaven has been starting in the middle of the back three in the absence of De Ligt.
The 19-year-old endured a nervy game against West Ham, but he produced an excellent display against Wolves.
Heaven won 100 per cent of his duels, and completed 100 percent of his passes.
On the back of this performance, the teenager is expected to retain his place in the team when United welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford next Monday.
Amorim’s side bounced back emphatically against Wolves after playing out a 1-1 draw with West Ham last week.
Captain Bruno Fernandes opened the scoring in the 25th-minute before the hosts hit back through Jean-Ricner Bellegarde on the stroke of half-time.
But the Red Devils completely dominated proceedings in the second-half, with Bryan Mbeumo and Mason Mount finding the target after Fernandes’ late double.
The result means United have climbed up to sixth in the Premier League standings with 25 points from 15 matches.
