Ruben Amorim's ban on 11 Man Utd stars after bringing in new rule during international break

Ruben Amorim's prohibition on holidays during international breaks continues to apply to the 11 Manchester United players who weren't called up for international duty. The Red Devils manager introduced this policy last year following controversy surrounding Marcus Rashford and Casemiro .
The pair had travelled to the United States last November after being overlooked by England and Brazil respectively. The duo faced severe backlash for their choice to take a long-haul trip for a short break rather than staying in Manchester, with Gary Neville amongst those publicly condemning them.
Amorim was barely a fortnight into his role as United manager and initially defended Rashford and Casemiro, pointing out that the club hadn't explicitly forbidden them from travelling during the international window.
The 40-year-old said at the time: "Would I set a different structure? Yes, for sure. But we cannot put this on the players. They told them they have five days off so they can fly anywhere. Because nobody in the club says you cannot fly. So we cannot, this time, put that on Rash or Case."
Nevertheless, Amorim acknowledged that changes were imminent as he stated: "Us as a club have to set the standards and have to manage that. It's my decision if they can have five days, or three days, or three days to rest and you cannot fly.
"This is something that us as a club have to decide. So this must be started in the club, with us and me being responsible in that area." It's a change has remained a year on since his appointment and one the current crop of United players not on international duty have abided by.

The club have 15 first-team players away on national team duty, with 11 players remaining at Carrington ahead of their return to Premier League action on Monday against at home to Everton .
The 11 players include the likes of Benjamin Sesko, who withdrew from the Slovenia squad through injury , and the England quintet of Harry Maguire , Luke Shaw , Mason Mount , Kobbie Mainoo , plus Tom Heaton.
Netherlands pair Tyrell Malacia and Joshua Zirkzee have also stayed at the training complex, while youngsters Ayden Heaven, Tyler Fredricson and Chido Obi all hope to catch Amorim's eye in their pursuit of more first-team opportunities.

United were last in action at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium earlier this month where they scraped a point against Spurs in the 2-2 draw , courtesy of Matthijs de Ligt's 96th minute equaliser.
After the game, Amorim lamented his side's lack of bravery as he said: "I think it's more we need to look at ourselves. We were not pressing with the same intensity, because we felt comfortable.
"We need to understand that but to feel also that if we have a little bit more bravery, we can kill this game. Sometimes it's like that: you have a first half better than the second."
