Eberechi Eze has emerged as a player of serious interest to Thomas Frank and Tottenham ahead of the upcoming Premier League campaign. North London rivals Arsenal are, also, understood to be longer-term admirers of Crystal Palace's playmaker, but it's Spurs who could make the first move.

Sami Mokbel from the BBC argues Spurs, who are also in talks with Manchester City for versatile forward Savinho , are also keen on a swoop for the England international. The report claims there's no indication yet at to whether or Spurs are looking to do a deal for both players, but are exploring their options.

The new deal for Ethan Nwaneri and emergence of Max Dowman means Eze is not a priority for Arsenal in the final few weeks of the window, but they do hold an interest in the 27-year-old.

Arteta and key figures upstairs are planning to offload the likes of Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson and Fabio Vieira, having spent around £192.6million on Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke, Martin Zubimendi, Cristhian Mosquera, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Christian Norgaard.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are in the market for attack minded additions following the serious injury to James Maddison last week. The playmaker is set for a lengthy spell on the side-lines after damaging his ACL.
