The top-scoring new signings in the Premier League this season

New signings are always keen to start well, particularly those in attacking areas. Several new signings have adapted impressively in the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, but which new recruit has scored the most goals?

We’ve ranked the top-scoring new signings in the Premier League so far this season.

Newcastle needed their marquee summer signing to hit the ground running, after losing Alexander Isak to Liverpool in a £125m British record deal. While Isak has struggled to establish himself at Liverpool, scoring just once in the Premier League , Woltemade has become a fan favourite at St James’ Park.

The giant German has scored five times in the Premier League and twice more in the League Cup and Champions League. A costly own goal in last weekend’s Tyne-Wear derby was a setback, but Woltemade looks good business for Newcastle, even at the club-record fee.

Leeds United took a punt on Dominic Calvert-Lewin in the summer, signing the striker on a free transfer from Everton. Calvert-Lewin’s latter time at Everton was decimated by injury issues and a loss of form, as he scored just three league goals in 26 games last season.

The 28-year-old has already bettered that return at Elland Road, scoring five times. He’s netted in each of his last four appearances for Daniel Farke’s side, with the Leeds head coach even suggesting an England recall is not beyond the summer signing. Calvert-Lewin won the last of his 11 caps in July 2021.

Manchester United spent more than £200m on an overhaul of their frontline last summer, acquiring Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Bryan Mbeumo for big fees.

The latter was signed after a career-best campaign at Brentford, in which the Cameroon winger scored 20 times in the Premier League . Signing a Premier League proven talent has certainly been a wise move, with Mbeumo netting six league goals and seven in all competitions. No Manchester United player has netted more this season.

Hugo Ekitike is the highest-scoring new signing in the Premier League so far this season. Much of the noise centred around the additions of Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak in the summer, but Ekitike has been the best of Liverpool’s summer signings.

The Frenchman marked his debut with a goal in the Community Shield and also netted on his league bow for the Reds.

Back-to-back braces in recent weeks have taken Ekitike to 10 in all competitions and cemented the 23-year-old as Liverpool’s main man in attack.
