Three Man Utd stars called out in brutal message to ruthless Ruben Amorim

Former Tottenham manager Tim Sherwood has offered a scathing assessment of three of Ruben Amorim's Manchester United stars. Sherwood does not rate defenders Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt, and has not been impressed with Benjamin Sesko's efforts so far.
Yoro, 20, and De Ligt, 26, arrived at Old Trafford in 2024 but have failed to impress the ex-Blackburn midfielder. The French defender arrived from Lille as United beat competition from Real Madrid for his signature , while De Ligt joined from Bayern Munich , having already featured for Juventus and Ajax.
Sherwood has acknowledged that players from Europe need time to settle in the Premier League, but is not convinced that it will lead to a positive result for the Red Devils.
Sesko fared no better in Sherwood's mind. The young striker has scored just two goals in 14 appearances for United , and the former Aston Villa boss reckons if he'd come through the club's academy, he would not have been offered further chances by Amorim.
Sherwood told BetWright : “I don’t see it with Leny Yoro at the moment, to be honest. I always feel that players need time to settle into the Premier League , especially if you’re a young player who’s come from Europe, but I don’t see it with him.
“Having said that, I also don’t see it with Matthijs de Ligt either – I don’t think he’s the answer for Manchester United.
“You could say the same about a lot of Manchester United’s players, and I think it demonstrates how big of a drop off there is between Arsenal and Manchester City ’s squad and the rest of the league.
“I’m also not sold by Benjamin Sesko. He hasn’t had a huge amount of chances, but I’d have at least expected to see something by now. I don’t see anything with him at the moment.

“If he was an academy player at Manchester United coming through the ranks and he performed the way he has, you’d never seen him again and he’d never get another opportunity.
“I hope for Man United’s sake that he improves, but at the moment, I don’t see it with him.”
Sesko returned to United's starting line-up in defeat to Aston Villa after a period out with a knee injury. The striker could next feature against Newcastle United on Boxing Day.
Victory then would see United go level on points with fourth-placed Chelsea . Amorim's side are currently seventh in the Premier League standings.
